Agreement with Brazil 
Since June, 2004, there exists an agreement between the Brazilian and the Argentine Ministries of Education to foster mutual acknowledgement of their language proficiency examinations, the CELPE-Bras and the CELU, with the aim of seeking a linguistic policy that is based on reciprocity and cooperation among the universities of these two countries. Over 50% of CELU examinations that have been administered so far, were taken by Brazilian citizens in different Argentine and Brazilian venues. 

Agreement with China 
In the year 2004, an agreement of mutual acknowledgement of national examinations of the official languages was signed with the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. At present, there are plans to start administering the CELU examination in different Asian countries.
